Everything in nature is unique,
individual.
Yet everything in nature is meant to be there,
belongs.
There are so many different shapes and patterns and textures,
but it all goes together,
it is all meant to be there.
I have always created,
whether it was because it was an outlet
or because it was something that I just had to do.
It feels more and more like breathing to me.
Cyclical.
One of the things I have grown to really love is crocheting.
I am self taught
(for the most part),
and have found a real calming spirit
to be released when I am working.
Not to mention a use for the yarns that I love to spin and dye.
The thing I love most about these is that each one is different.
Even if you do the same patten on each one,
nature created the stones
and each one has their own personality.
And like nature they group together,
as individuals,
but still belonging.
Creating a united front.
So simple,
yet so intricate.
Great idea! These are really remarkable... I am also a crochet addict - I find I can release worries and let my thoughts flow in a relaxed way. I get the best ideas this way ;-))
ReplyDeleteFeeling like on the beach on a warm summer evening now! Thanks for this post!
ReplyDeleteI love it!!!
ReplyDeleteI came across your blog via the Craft Gawker app for my ipad. Love your idea of crochet covered stones which I originally saw on resurrection fern. I made some and instead of stones used small round pieces of wood from a branch that was cut up.
