Book Wishlist

I love book, especially ones that have inspiring pictures, or useful information!
(I have pretty much a whole wall of herbal books for my reference!)
So I thought that I would post a selection from my amazon wish list,
maybe one day I will have them all!

First is this book...
I think that Posey would be very happy if I got it.
Parrot-Toys and Play Areas : How To Put Some Fun Into Your Parrot's Life

Next is this great foraging book, because one can never have enough identification books!
The Forager's Harvest: A Guide to Identifying, Harvesting, and Preparing Edible Wild Plants

I really want to have our own chickens!
I was just talking to a friend of mine who is Vegan (I am definitely not) about how where we live used to be all farms, but now it is so hard to find local eggs and meat...
And it is all super expensive if you do!
So this would be a great book to have, I think.
Keeping Chickens: The Essential Guide

I totally want this book! It looks soooooo neat!
Stylish Sheds and Elegant Hideaways: Big Ideas for Small Backyard Destinations

Another great book to have for reference!
Independence Days: A Guide to Sustainable Food Storage & Preservation

I think that we all need to learn how to slow our lives down a little bit, for better living and happiness!
In Praise of Slowness: Challenging the Cult of Speed (Plus)

This looks like a beautiful book!
Beautiful Sheep: Portraits of Champion Breeds

Another one Posey would be happy about!
The Healthy Bird Cookbook: A Lifesaving Nutritional Guide and Recipe Collection

I also want this book, maybe it will help me be a better painter!
I love watercolors, but they are so much harder that you think they might be!!!
Watercolour Textures (Collins Artist's Studio)

And those are some of the books I wish I could get right now!
There are plenty more that I would love to get, but these are the ones holding my interest at this moment!
What books are on your wish list?
Lovin' All
...little owl

  1. The stylish shed book looks awesome! One of Jus & my favorite things to do is go to a bookstore and look at architecture books!

  4. The keeping chickens book is good, as well as the sheds. I have borrowed the chicken book from a friend and saw the shed one in the book store, nice selections you have there!

I am wishing you lived close by, I would drop by and hand you a dozen fresh, organic, vegetarian, free range, beautiful chicken eggs and maybe you would make me some herbal tea and we would sit and discuss this years garden. The Mr. is out of town for a bit and we have more eggs than the two of us ladies can eat.
Perhaps this weekend I should invite the neighbors over for a pancake scramble :)

  5. Lola Nova...OH, I wish! sigh... that would be so nice, it is hard to find local eggs here, even though this all used to be farm land, its all hoity-toity people, or fishermen... sad... I think I am going to order those 2 books first, I have a gift card, so I am excited!
