Fuchsia Hue of the Wild

Flowers of the Money Plant,
before they turn into silvery moons...

I've got some cotton premordanted with alum in an aluminum pot
waiting to be submerged into this fermenting hydrous concoction.
I wonder if it will clearly come out this purpley-fuchsia color?

I think I will also mordant some wool yarn and maybe some cotton thread as well.
I better get on it because Andy said he heard some rumbling in the distance
and the sky is looking aqueous and heavy!

Toodle-oo for now!

  1. Those flowers are an amazing colour. I've never tried dying with flowers (or indeed with any natural dye - part from henna on my head) and I'm fascinated to see how it turns out
