handful of garden fresh herbs for tea.

oregano, thyme and lemonbalm make a fantastic herbal tisane!

Vibrant spring greens, the first of the herbs to be abundant enough to harvest for tea!

<<<<<>>>>>
I have been waiting all winter (and it has been a long one) for these green leaves!
There is nothing like a fresh, herby tisane.
This one will include oregano, thyme and lemonbalm (one of my absolute favorites and one I have a special healing connection to). I am a religious tea drinker, it is part of my everyday spiritual path. It is morning, noon and nighttime ritual. And I prefer tea as my chosen healing modality.
Making a cup of tea, whether for healing or for pleasure, engages the participant. It encourages one to be a direct part of their own wellbeing. You have to prepare, wait, pour, steep, breath in, sip...
Tea invokes fluidity and patience.
It is a balm for the soul.
Slowing down, you can sit and truly enjoy that moment.
True connection.

A Smattering...

brilliant sunshine reaching around trees on a bank on the coast

One of the new little owl hoodies! Jellyfish!!! Women's organic cotton, super comfy!

Selfie... Enjoying the light streaming into the bedroom.

Matching tea and yarn. Knitting a sweater.

A girl and her dog. Out for a morning forest romp with the pups.

...Of photos from the past week or so...
I am especially loving that my tea matched the color of yarn I am using for the sweater I am knitting at present. Also, I will be posting some more hoodies for you ladies in the shop soon, including the Jellyfish design you see above.

There has been much going on. Although most of it feels internal. There seem to be a lot of potential things on the horizon, a lot of things to be clearly manifested and a lot in the works. Now all I need is to work on my patience, to help this mixture of excitement and anxiety subside.

Well now lovebirds, what have you been up to?

It is snowing here today.
Again.

Although the sun is "trying" to break through and at this point it is much better than freezing cold and icy ground.
I do love winter, but I may be ready for spring to bound in... What's that saying about March? "In like a lion, out like a lamb." This is so true, especially in New England and especially this year!

The past few days had been springlike, but Mother Nature apparently likes to play tricks...

Anyway, I have been sipping tea, trying to catch up (on work, on reading, on knitting, on everything). Oh, and I have been snacking on the most delicious granola bars ever (homemade, of course)! I loosely followed THIS recipe that I had pinned to one of my Pinterest boards, but I added chocolate chips (which melted all over the ingredients, yum!), pecans, sunflower seeds, cranberries and currants. CAN'T. STOP. EATING. THEM!!!
So good, and waaaay cheaper with better ingredients than those found at the store. Next time I will add pumpkins seeds and maybe try using sunflower seed butter.

Do you have a favorite snack that you like to make?
How about a favorite tea?

Well, headed back to work.
Working on some new designs for screen printing.
Happy Thursday to you!

The contents of this moment...

...sitting out on the little deck of my new apartment for the first time. I am thoroughly enjoying the sun and the warm weather.

...drinking tea while working on some new crocheted crystal necklaces.

...giving the animals some love and snuggles while we listen to the birds sing.

...sun gazing through the leaves of the tree that overhangs the corner of my deck.

What are the contents of your day?

Very Fine House, Vibeke, and Lola Nova... This is for you!

Ok.
Here we go...
This is WAAAAAY overdue and for that I sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart!
Now, first and foremost I want to say THANK YOU!!!
There are 3 wonderful packages that I received from 3 wonderful people!!!

I won these lovely bird related beauties from a giveaway on Micaela's blog Dolce Vita.
It is a wonderful blog by a wonderful girl!
The gifts are from Kate at Very Fine House!
I love birds and was so excited when I won this!!!

I love them both!

Next, a HUGE thank you to Vibeke from a butterfly in my hair!!!
I LOVE her blog so much, she always has such wonderful photos to look at!
I signed up for her Pay It Forward and she sent me the most wonderful package of goodies!!!

First I opened the card... A Dottie Angel card! Amazing!
But it got better!!!
Next was a little package of all her favorite herbal teas.
I LOVE tea and drink it all day long!
So I can't wait to try these ones, they sound so delicious!
And last, she sent me 2 little faery tales wrapped in the most beautiful paper (shown under all the display of goodies).
They are absolutely precious and I love children's books, so I was very happy!
Thank you so much, Vibeke!!!!!

And lastly, but most recently, my Pay It Forward from Alex over at Lola Nova-Whatever Lola Wants.
Again, another spot on gift!
I couldn't be more appreciative!

First was a wonderful crocheted ornament which I cannot wait to hang!
Also, there was a wonderful hand sewn pouch... WITH OWLS!!!
I was so excited to see this, what a great personal touch!

And inside was a hand printed, hand sewn lavender sachet.
I LOVE lavender and thought this was a great addition because I noticed how wonderful the package smelled before I even tore into the beautiful wrapping!
(I also love her personal postcard!)
Alex, you really did a wonderful job, I love it all!!!

Whew! That was a lot!
So now it will be my turn to post another Pay It Forward which I will do in a few days.
I am sorry it took so long to share a post with my thank you's,
but I will have to blame it all on my finicky camera
which would not let me upload photos for a while.
Obviously problem solved...
After much time at the computer store and on the phone with the computer people and spending unnecessary money to fix a problem that wasn't really the problem at all...
Oh well, live and learn... Right?!?
*Much Love*
