I know you have heard me mention that we want to move to Maine.
We have taken a few trips up to visit, look for where we want to be and start meeting people and to establish relationships with shops that might want to carry my work...

This past weekend was all of the above.

I think we have decided we want to be close to the Brunswick area.
Preferably more towards Richmond or Bowdoinham. We are looking for some land.
A place where we can have a small farm for ourselves,
with space to work and play,
and to be inspired by.

But mostly space.

This weekend was a bit crazy, with appointments to meet with a couple of shops in the area.
Not everything went according to plan, but in the end I have some of my work in The Mix located on Maine St. in downtown Brunswick!
We also went to a Solstice party at my sister's boyfriend's sister's farm (I know, there was no simpler way of saying that since it was our first time meeting her) and met a bunch of wonderful people with kindred spirits.

I feel so at home every time we visit Maine.
And every person we meet convinces me that it is the place for us to be.

Are any of you from Maine?
Where abouts?
Do you just love it?

Now I can't stop daydreaming about swimming in the river and going home to acres of tall grass and gardens with chickens and dogs running around...
Le sigh.
Soon enough.

P.S. I want to thank everyone who has supported Little Owl Arts. Your support helps us get even closer to our goal, to our life in Maine. You are all just marvelous!!

  1. Yes to Maine and I can say that your sister's boyfriends sister loved meeting you and your beau and your pups!!!!Hope you can make it happen!

  2. Jane! so good to hear from you!!! I hope we can make it too!!! I would love to be up there in a year or so.... so we will see. It was great to meet almost all the fam, and I am totally envious of Molly and Asher's farm! That is pretty much what we are trying to manifest!

  3. Hi Brittan!!

One of the best things to do is visualize what you wish, the farm the land...and feel it as it was already happening, it will come as soon as you can imagine :)

    Good luck!!

    Lluisa xx

  4. You are so right, Lluisa! And that is exactly what we have been doing, sometimes without even thinking about it!
I am sure it will happen when the time is right....
And how is your move going?

    1. Is being a bit slow, now we have decided that we are going to Ireland instead of England. I haven't been there yet is Andy who has been looking around, but even without being there I've got a really good feeling so....hope we can find the property we are looking for very soon, but as you said before it will happen in the right moment :)

  5. Hey!! You've got your work in a shop on Maine St.!! Good for you! One foot in the door, now!
Maine has been on your mind for a long time.
If it feels right, do it. You guys will make your move, all in good time.
Keep dreaming and visualizing and exploring and planning! That's the fun part!
Love your new pic up there!
