A day at the beach

This weekend was a mix of weather, but all of it spring-like.
This means everyone is out and there isn't a place to steal away and have all to ourselves.
After much indecision on the sunniest of days, we settled on going to one of the beaches around here. The small winter parking area was FULL! But no matter, we managed to fit ourselves in
and it ended up being a wonderful adventure.
There were dogs galore which meant our pups were more than happy.
It was bright, sunny, warm and vivid.

Wingersheek & Puppy Bowl X

>>>>><<<<<

It has been positively balmy and while I am thankful for a break from the absolute FREEZING cold, it is strange to have spring-like weather. I guess it came at a perfect time though, since Nate and I have been going out and enjoying the weather together (Yay for weekends off!!!). So yesterday was a stellar day at the beach. We ran, we played, we had Margi practice jumping to help strengthen her back leg... There was lots of dogs being goofy.
I even got to do a little photo shoot for one of the hoodie designs that I have been meaning to list for a while now.

Today has been more overcast and a bit rainy, but I don't mind. I like the calm of rainy days.
I will take advantage of cuddling, creating and watching Puppy Bowl X (which is ridiculously cute!).
What are your Sunday evening plans?

Ominous Skies and Beach Grass

These photos make me giddy.
I love the tumultuous feeling.
It was a good walk with friends.
(Both furry and not)

Wingersheek

I am always reminded of how blessed I am to live both on the coast and in such a beautiful area.
Thankful!

I so desperately needed to spend some time at the beach today.
I needed the salt air,
the wind in my hair,
the sound of the water and seagulls.
I needed to be in that space where the ocean meets the river.
To collect shells,
to hold one,
pray into it
and release it back into the waters it came from.

The moon is still out today.
It was so amazingly beautiful last night,
big and red and hanging low in the sky!
A red harvest moon.
It was so low it was almost on top of the ocean it was reflecting off of.
I wish I had my camera with me!

It is a true New England fall day.
Hope you enjoy yours!
