the time in between...

I spent yesterday morning exploring with Veda.

Partly we went out because it was that moment in between a misty rain and the sun pushing its way through...

I love that still time!

It is so beautiful in the woods when it is damp, everything is so vibrant!

The mosses, the fresh, new leaves,

everything is pushing its way out and up towards the sun.

The environment is definitely a large source of inspiration for me.

I love the natural lines and forms.

The colors, the scent, the sounds!

One of the things I love immensely is mushrooms.

I have posted about this before,

but I never tire of seeing these in the woods, in their own habitat.

It still amazes me how diverse the genre is!!!

I also love moss, lichen and tiny flowers!

The moss has been so vibrantly green lately, I am mesmerized when walking through the woods!

I took quite a few photos, so I will have to split this post in two or maybe 3.

I woke up in a bit of a funk today.

Actually, to be honest, I had such an intense dream that I woke up crying.

I couldn't seem to stop, it was like my eyes were leaking and now they hurt!

Anyway, I had another post in mind, but am feeling lazy and don't feel like hooking up the camera to upload photos.

So until I feel more motivated to really mess around on the computer,

or until tomorrow,

I have been trying to convince Andy that a bunny would be a happy addition to our wild family.

do this or do that?

One of my biggest pet-peeves is when people don't wave back after a friendly passing wave,

or when you let them go or cross in front of you when in the car.

I mean, really?

How hard is it to raise your hand?

If you couldn't raise your hand, you wouldn't be driving... right?

It especially makes me annoyed when said person is on a cell phone and they don't put it down to enter into traffic.

REALLY!!!

Come on people!

Well, I think this morning I had someone that I let pass in front of me into opposing traffic during "rush hour" that made up for more than a few of those other rude people!

She was so thankful that not only did she wave... Twice!... She blew thank you kisses too!

How sweet!!!

Why can't every one who drives be like her?

...

Ok, well enough venting (although there was a positive out come, right?).

Guess what?

It is kind of snowing today!!!

Not much, but there are flurries floating around, falling from the sky!

(*sigh*)

I am going to meet my mom for lunch today.

Until then, I am trying to decide on weather I should work on owls and mermaids for my meeting with a store on Friday or post some new things on etsy...
