(this is a morning full of real posts, I am catching up)

Its is time again for 2 things I love around my home!

First is this wicker elephant (courtesy of the trash) with my geranium on it.

I love plants, so I LOVE my geranium

and they are great medicine,

they can be used like bandages if you have a cut!

Next is something that Andy boy made for me.

He makes these incredible and tiny faery scenes,

he collects everything from nature and makes the little acorn houses by hand!

It is truely amazing!

This scene stands only about 4 inches from the base.

Isn't that amazing?!?

He adds little mushrooms and flowers and crystals,

he is truely talented!

It is funny, though, because he makes these teeny tiny, incredible creations

and then he also makes GIANT puppets!

(like the puppets at Bread and Puppet, if anyone knows about that)

Very talented man I've got!!!

A multi tasking Post:

Ok, so this will be a multi tasking post about my thrifty finds and then about my two things that I love around my home!

First of all, I had a super awesome day of thrifty finds yesterday!!!

As well as a couple a few days earlier!

There is a wonderful consignment shop in Ipswich (a few towns over and where I grew up) that I went to with my mom...

She is friends with a really nice woman who works there and gave us incredible deals!!!

So first is this amazing top from Banana Republic! Ooo-la-la!

And this beautiful piece that is reversible and can be worn as a skirt or a dress!

This next one is a halter dress (don't mind the bad pictures of it)

Originally she said $10, then she gave it to me for free!

This is the little detail at the top:

These next 3 were in the $1 bin, but she ended up just giving them to me also, I was so happy!

Super comfy tank.

Abercrombie shrug like sweater.

(I hate the abercrombie store, so it is nice when I find things from them that I thrifted!)

And this super cute, awesome colored green sweater from old navy... Also free!

And so last from Forget-Me-Not's is this super warm, super awesome coat that was marked down to $5, but ended up being free, also... Hooray!

I love the fuzzy hood!

Ok, so those were my thrifty finds yesterday!

But now for the multi tasking part of this post....

I also went to a nice consignment shop in Beverly a few days ago and found this super cute dress and Abercrombie cardie...

These are the two things I love around my home today (and what I am wearing today, I am lovin' the plaid and super soft cardi!)

*here's a funny little memory... I used to have 2 hampsters for a short time when I was little (they kept me up at night, so we had to return them to Woolworths, remember woolworths?!?)

They were named Plaid and Zelda...

Don't ask how I came up with those names...

But I was devastated when we gave them back because I loved them!

I cried and cried, and filled my entire diary with

"I miss Plaid and Zelda"

I know a bit neurotic...

Ha Ha Ha!

OK.

On to my two fave things...

I think I will be living in this outfit with some leggings or jeans and boots!!!

Oh, how I love tuesdays...

I get to blog about two things I love around my home,

Ok, so here we go!

I hate to admit it, but I LOVE my new machine...

This mac is the best decision I have ever made!

I think that I am having a secret love affair with it...

Sadly, I am totally obsessed with it.

The blob on the screen is a ball of yarn that I handspun and hand dyed.

Next up, is the most wonderful of the two things I love around my home...

I have been so grumpy and in a bad mood lately

(even today I woke up on the wrong side of the bed, I don't know what is wrong with me...)

Last night, when Andy came home he surprised me with flowers!

I love flowers!

I was just thinking that I should go and buy some for myself

and here he is,

with a lovely bouquet in hand just for me!

I was sooooo happy!

He's such a good man.

This stool is not their permanent place, but I could get a better shot of them

Aren't they lovely! I love the colors!!!

And that's it.

Tea and Toasty toes...

I wanted to post this this afternoon,

but that just didn't happen.

So,

I guess better late then never,

right?

I love doing this blog on Tuesdays!

Here you go...

Two things I love... Around my home:

This tea set actually didn't come as a set technically.

Andy gave me the teapot as a gift

(and I love it, of course!)

And the teacup was donated to me,

along with a bunch more teacups and saucers,

by my friend Perry.

They were his grandmother's

and I feel very honored that he thought they should live with me!

(I LOVE teacups and teapots...)

And the bowl in the back just happened to be in the picture,

and match...

I also love out wood stove!

(I don't know what happened here with my camera, but I kinda like it!)

It has been well used and somewhat abused by former tenants,

But Andy gave it a little bit of a fix up,

and she is much,

much

happier!

I feel so thankful that we have a wood stove,

especially this time of year.

Having Posey Bird

and living in New England,

I am always worried about winter

and losing power,

thus,

losing heat...

So not only does our lovely wood stove keep our tootsies and mini talons warm,

it is also a HUGE stress reliever

knowing that I can keep Posey and the rest of the family warm with it!
