What I've Been Working On...

Amidst my funk,

I seem to have gotten some nuno felted scarves embroidered and finished.

I am not the most skilled person at embroidery,

I sort of figure it out or make it up as I go along...

But I think it looks alright.

What do you think?

Also, I have been working on finishing a bag of needle felted owls.

I am trying to get a box full of them and mermaids for the craft fair I am doing at the end of March.

It is a lot of jabbing with a little needle,

not to mention all the work it took to prepare the fiber in the first place-

Washing and picking the wool clean, dying it, drying it, and finally carding it...

Phew!

It sure looks pretty all rolled up and ready for felting in its box!

i have been in a bit of a funk lately. you know that feeling of excitement and accomplisment when you have projects worth spending your time on? well, i seem to be lacking that feeling and i will tell you, it is a bit disheartening and slightly depressing. as i sat this morning, trying to get my creative energy up and going, i decided to go for a walk instead. always inspired by the beauty and intricacy of nature, i thought it might give me a boost. well i haven't gotten very far as of yet, but just stepping onto the path and crossing the little stream, i notived this spagnum moss in the midst of the trickle. oh nature, how i love thee!

I really don't like being negative,

but it is true...

It is the only thing making anything seem a ok at all.

Ugh, now if only I could get back to sleep!

Dreaming of English Country Garden Style

Ok, I am officially OBSESSED.

I die with every new image that pops up with the clicking of my cursor.

I have to say, CLAIRE CAMPBELL is amazing.

Unfortunately I couldn't get any of the photos to copy from the site,
