NEW! (what I've been working on...)

Thank you to my friend Abi for patiently modeling for me,

I have another photo shoot this morning with my friend Evie for the last few scarves...

And of course, veda had to get in on the shoot just a little bit.

She was keeping Abi's cowl that I gave her warm while she modeled.

Some of these are in the Present shop downtown

(if you are local, don't forget about Ladies' Night tonight!!!)

and a couple might make their way into my etsy shop.

This weekend is my last fair, it is at the Winthrop Elementary School Holiday Boutique in S. Hamilton and I will definitely have some there as well...

Getting ready for the market in Beverly,

the indoor holiday market!

I really love the Beverly Farmers' Market,

if you haven't been to it, it is a wonderful little market with amazing food, produce, art and crafts, healing herbs and hands!

This is the last one of the year (in Beverly), just in time for the holidays.

I woke up to find this quote posted this morning:

It has pretty much perfectly summed up what I was trying to say in my previous post.

I've had a very, very busy last two day.

The fair was beyond successful!

I am honored and grateful for all of the support

and for being able to be a part of such a great event!

Now I have to get ready for the Holiday Farmers' Market tomorrow afternoon.

I will be selling the cranberries that I gathered with my mom on our adventures!

I also have quite a bit of making to do this week to replace what sold and what I had to take out of the Present Shop.

Plus I have completely sold out of owls!

...Big breaths...

Yesterday was so beautiful out, I went to the beach to do some treasure hunting.

You can see in the shadow above the bag I am holding full of shells and things.

I ended up wandering around a lot longer than I had anticipated, it was perfect!!!

I wish it were that nice again today, but it is overcast.

Last night was the opening celebration for Present, a local holiday shop downtown here in Gloucester. It went really well and was such a good time!!!

Now I am getting ready for a fair in New Hampshire tomorrow.

I have to finish some nuno felted headbands, maybe a mermaid or two, get the wool I washed in for to dry, pack the car...

I am leaving tonight to go get my friend who is also doing the fair (she actually told me about it), we are going to go tonight and stay at her mother's house so that we are closer tomorrow.

I think this weekend is going to be busier that I realize.

Travel tonight, fair tomorrow, game night with friends tomorrow night, big anniversary sale going on the whole weekend at the local yarn shop (and I definitely what to take advantage of that!), then hopefully a knitting get together at a friends house sunday afternoon/evening!

I also have a lot of other things that need creating to add to the shop downtown, but I think I will focus more on that next week...

The best trade!

So on friday at the Holiday fair I was next to a wonderful artist named Courtney of Farmhouse Prints from Vermont.

Her work was so creative and fun and unique!

I was really happy that she was interested in doing a trade.

She chose a felted scarf and then ended up buying a felted wrap belt!

Looks great on her, don't you think?

I was so excited to trade with her because she makes the cutest and most wonderful things!

(Sorry the photos aren't that great, they don't do the cuteness justice!)

First I was so excited about her Kitty Pouches made out of recycled clothing, I had to get 3 of them!

These necklaces are the best!

They are smooth stones that she crocheted around and added fins at the bottom.

I died when I saw them and had to get 2 of them!

(I wanted the 3rd one, too, but thought it would be really selfish to take them all for myself and not let anyone else have a chance of buying one.)

It is funny, however, because she had so many wonderful handmade things, I didn't even see her prints that were in a box on the table!

When I got home I immediately checked out her website and blog and saw how wonderful her print work is as well as all the other handcrafts she does!

What an inspiring person!

I can't believe how wonderful it was!

Goodness me! The last few days have been busy!

Friday and Saturday I was at the Stoneridge Montessori Holiday Fair and I have to say, it was amazing!

I have a really great time!

It was a great experience for me and what made it better was EVERYONE there!

I can't say enough about how amazing and wonderful everyone was!

I had such great support and feedback from the parents and wanderers who were shopping,

they all had such lovely things to say about my work.

I sold almost all of my felted owls the first day by mid-day so I had to felt like a mad woman that night to have some for the next day!

Also, all the other vendors were so great!

I love every singe one of them!

They were ALL so supportive and fun and great to meet!

We were all treated so well by the people who worked there and ran the fair!

They even fed us!

And let me tell you, this wasn't a cold sandwich and soda,

They made us popovers with jam in the morning,

offered coffee, tea and cider,

we had a choice of 3 amazing home made soups, mixed green and asparagus salad with buttermilk herb dressing, rosemary bread for lunch,

and to top it off, on friday they offered wine, cheese and fruit after the fair ended while we moved everything into the gym room for the next day!

I now understand why the vendors that had been there previous years all said that they came back just for the food!

No joke!

It was such a happy, warm environment and I feel very blessed to have been there!

There were so many talented people and wonderful handmade things being sold,

I even did a little bartering (which I don't really do much of anymore because I am trying to downsize! Also, I will do another post on what I got!)

This puppy was so cute! Her name is Rafia and she looks just like Veda, but apricot colored and she is going to be 20lbs. smaller! I think if I were to get another dog, this would be what I would look for, soo cute!!!

I HAVE POWER!!!

Today I am trying to get ready for the holiday fair I am in that is tomorrow and saturday!

I was going to try to work on some things last night, but we lost power due to the high winds!

It was so warm yesterday, and windy, it was crazy!

I was really sad that we lost power, though, because Poesy and I were supposed to have an ichat with Danielle and the lovely Flojo from Dinosaur Toes...

I was so excited because it was going to our first "meeting" (and my first time using ichat).

Since I live in Mass and Danielle lives in Virginia, it is the next best thing to actually meeting in person!

But alas, it was not meant to be last night!

So, hopefully soon!!!

So now, before I dive into the realm of work and fiber and felt, I wanted to share the few little owls that I just posted in my shop.

These little cuties are so fun and soft!

They make great gifts and I have added a bit of thread from my collection of vintage threads so they can be hung as ornaments!!!
