Farmers' Market

Yesterday was the Farmers' Market in Beverly that I vend at.
I thought I would share a little bit from my booth...

Mu is IN LOVE with blueberries! Well, really anything edible. She also loved the green beans. It is both good and bad that I am set up next to the Farmer Dave produce booth, since Mu is constantly grazing under the tables, often with her head in a bucket of back-up berries. We have also decided that from now on, blueberries are going to be referred to as mu-berries. She was in heaven yesterday since our friends at Farmer Dave's were handing her things to snack on left and right!

I was photo-bombed!
(My friend, who runs the market, this is her son. What a goofball!)

Mu-berry coma!

Finally, the Little Owl booth...

And my organic cotton market totes FINALLY came, just in time for the market!
I had a friend help me design these (my artwork, his graphic artist skill getting the lettering on there), but the printer he goes through, well, let's just say I am not pleased with their turnaround time or their (lack of) communication. But the bags look fantastic (thanks Jamie!)!!!

(will be in THE SHOP soon.)

How was your afternoon?

Farmers' Market

A few random photos from the market on Monday:

All the children love Bessie Mu
(although she can be a bit skeptical of them)
and when I turned around at one point, this is what I saw...
Surrounded!

This little girl had the sweetest outfit on.
I love how patiently and serenely she waited while her mom was shopping at Farmer Dave's booth!
Such a sweet moment!

Lastly, I am so excited to have come home with not only fruit and vegetables, but also herbs.
Included in those herbs (which are all in pots, not cut) was thyme this amazing passiflora!!!
I already have a passiflora that I started from a cutting and have had for years, but I am always to bring home another of these beautiful and elaborate plants.
How beautiful!!!

I love this plant and it has wonderful medicinal properties.
It is a nervine and mild sedative, so it is helpful with insomnia and anxiety.
The entire above ground parts of the plant can be used and taken in many different forms such as tea, tincture and capsules, but I prefer the tea.
It is also great mixed with other herbs such as Lemonbalm, chamomile, or valerian...
Just so you know.

Do you use herbs at all?
Do you have a favorite?

Getting ready for the market in Beverly,
the indoor holiday market!
I really love the Beverly Farmers' Market,
if you haven't been to it, it is a wonderful little market with amazing food, produce, art and crafts, healing herbs and hands!

This is the last one of the year (in Beverly), just in time for the holidays.
Hope to see some of your smiling faces later today!
