Feelin' kinda rambly...

It is so gross and raw and wet here today. There is supposedly a chance of snow later (which I would be more pleased about, yet doubt, being on the coast, we will get). I had a hard time focusing this morning, I was so tired from staying up until almost 3 am which I never do.

I am kind of grannyish when it comes to sleep, I like to go to bed at a reasonable time because I don't like to sleep in and I prefer to get up fairly early. Actually, I have a really hard time sleeping in...

Ok, anyway, I went bowling with a bunch of friends, which we tend to do fairly regularly on wednesday nights. It's super awesome, glow bowling, with the flashy lights and black lights and everything. Yeah, it's that kind of bowling. So it goes until midnight and then we hung out for a bit afterward which was nice, but then I didn't get home until really late...

I did get a bunch of felting done, but now I need to find a model so I can photograph at least a few of the new pieces before they sell. I have also been working on knitting a new pair of fingerless mittens, that's kind of exciting (and distracting when I should be doing other things). I think I have too many things going on in my head today, focusing is really difficult.

Obviously I am a bit rambley today, I'm allowed that right?!!?

These photos are of my little walk the other day (sans icky cold rain) in Halibut Point. I think it is a state park, or maybe it's a reservation? Whatever, I can't remember. But it sure was lovely out that day. I love how blue the water (both ocean and quarry) and sky is, plus the browns and greys of the granite and the fire reds, golds and oranges that are in the low bush leading down to the water. There were also some really beautiful, fluffy clouds dotting the skyline. It was a happy kind of day...

Halibut Point is in rockport, which is the town next to where I live. I live on what I guess is basically a peninsula (although we refer to it as the Island) and Rockport is basically at the end. So you are able to find a spot and just look out over the ocean with no end in sight.

Kinda cool.

Well, I am off to tend to the wood stove, put Posey Bird to sleep and then try and hunt down some chocolate. I am hoping I can find a hidden stash or something.

A bit about Nateva...

This is Frank... Probably one of our most popular puppets (with our friend Sylvana).

ok, it has been a while. I am feeling so fried from this past week! First we went to Nateva, which was great,except the security and staff had awful communication and gave us a really difficult time! Other than that, I was so excited to see the Flaming Lips play! I even got to meet Wayne Coyne (lead singer) and most of the band back stage... We told him how much we enjoyed his music and that we would love to do puppets for the show and invited him to our big tent to check them out.... He came back later (and of course I wasn't there so everyone got a photo but me!) and loved the puppets, supposedly, and said a couple could come one stage!!!!!


Well, that didn't happen. Apparently the security didn't know anything about it and we really mean a shoved Andy. What JERKS!!! I am a little confused also because some other girls that were at our tent (not with us) got passes to go on as dancers for the show! So I ask, WHAT IS UP WITH THAT??? We didn't get a pass...

In the crowd for George Clinton! He was AWESOME!!! First time seeing him, totally impressed, great to hoop to!

Anyways, I was still happy to meet him and just hoping that he isn't a complete jerk and lying to us...

Other than that, I have been trying to rest and working a lot gardening (which is awful in this heat). I was so happy to have to work, only to lose the money to my car because I bumped a curb at the grocery store and busted my radiator. Totally sucky!

I am waiting to get my car back today, I guess it was a bit of a sign that I needed to take a break. I was so tired from being in crowds and vending and yelling for tips and helping the puppets and hoola hooping and being hot... It is completely exhausting being around thousands and thousands of people for days!

So, what have you all been up to? I am wondering what type of things you guys are interested in, or what you would like to know about.... I am trying to make my blog more interesting, so let me know!!!

ah, I am so tired.

we have been packing and getting ready to leave tomorrow for a festival in western mass.

and i am totally pooped.

I did get to hold a little baby ducky today though...

there were 2 babies trying to get up a little wall to their momma ducky so i tried to help them up

let me just say, man those ducklings can run!

anyways, one found a way up on its own and the other one I helped.
