Halibut Point

Nate has had the week off. So happy!
We've been doing a little of this and a little of that, just enjoying life.

I have a whole pile of dyed scarves that are patiently awaiting me sewing tags on, photographing and listing. Not to mention some screen prints. But the scarves are a delicious assortment of color. I am also slipping into being drawn towards darker, earthier fall tones. I have collected a bunch of acorns and am planning on doing some dyeing with them...
Have you ever dyed with acorns?
Feel free to share any tips!!!
I will keep you posted on how my experimenting goes, as always.

Oh! Little Owl finally has its own domain!
It is official! Lemme know what'ya think!

And I have finally listed this and this and these in the shop.
Better late than never, right?

Have a happy evening, all!

Yesterday started out foggy and overcast, but turned out to be absolutely beautiful!
We took a walk in the morning and after the POURING rain that we had the day before and all the dampness there was a whole lot of mushrooms that had popped up!

The colors in the woods are so beautiful and warm,
with all the bright and mustardy yellows,
the vibrant reds
and the burnt oranges...
Plus there is still quite a bit of green which contrasts and explodes,
especially on days where it is damp and wet!

I love the woods when it is raining, or even foggy or overcast.
It is so peaceful and still.
It is like all of the trees are drinking in deep and the animals are all cuddling together,
staying out of the rain and keeping dry.
I like the sound of water droplets on the leaves in the trees...

Hope you are all enjoying your evening!
I am off to get ready for the Essex Clamfest tomorrow...
Wish me luck!

Took Veda on a late afternoon walk up the street.
This morningI had asked my neighbors uncle (who is living on the property waiting to help build their house) if I could share some photos of his makeshift camper/house he has assembled.
It is made with recycled/found materials and wood harvested on the lot!
I love the wooden room with the found windows.
One day i will have a studio like this (or a couple, but insulated!).
So wonderful and organic.
I love it!

Also during the walk, I found the feathey remains of a hawk,
scattered all around part of the trail.
What a wonderful gift,
seeing as I collect feathers.
I am honored to add these to my collection!

Have you found anything wonderful on any of your walks or adventures lately?
