A few of the new things listed in the SHOP.

Today I am working on dyeing some new silk for nuno felted scraves.
I am also making some new earrings and getting some screen printing done.

What have you been working on?

Adventure Throught the Woods

<<<<<>>>>>

I have been a bit distracted getting ready for a couple holiday fairs.
Hence my absence.

However, one thing I make time for almost every morning is an outdoor adventure.
The woods are so beautiful this time of year.

Also, this weekend was Veda's 12th Birthday!
I am so proud of my girl!!!
(and the fact that she does NOT look or act like she is 12 at all!)

Now back to work...
Hope you all had a great weekend!!!

'Tis the Season: Wildharvesting Cranberries

There is a "dry" (different than a dried up) cranberry bog where my mom, her boyfriend and I go picking. It is kind of one of those places that is a well kept secret.
If you don't know where it is, well then you just don't know...

We went to harvest this weekend, hoping that there would be an abundance of cranberries.
It was pretty scarce, however.
Maybe it was just the crop (or lack of) this year, or maybe we were just a week or 2 late.
Who knows.
What I do know is that I am thankful to have a half gallon of local, wildharvested cranberries. Just need to wash them and pop 'em in the freezer until they will become cran-apple pies and home made cranberry sauce. Mmm....

Do you have anything that you like to harvest seasonally?

1. Posey as my studio time supervisor.

2. Work attire: The messy apron.

3. A work in progress and stuff.
Lots of stuff (and this is just one little area)

Do you have a work/studio space?
Tell me about it, or if you have a link to photos, I would love to see!!!

The Right Path

I was outside on the deck doing some dyeing and noticed all the beautiful colors of fallen leaves scattered everywhere. I had to take a minute to do a mini photo shoot.

I love how I can be inspired by the every-dayness of what is around me.
I am a reflection of my environment.
My work is a reflection of my environment.
I find myself dressed in complimentary colors to the weather and environment outside
and continuously in awe of how beautiful nature is.
It never gets old.

I am loving every day with our new puppy.
I love all our pups, to be honest.
I am happiest when surrounded by animals, especially dogs.
They have a way of connecting, of understanding and are full of unconditional love.
I am inspired by this.

I feel like I am on the right path, a path that is leading me, not fighting me.
I have to work hard, but in an indescribable way it is easy.
I am/we are working towards the life we want, manifesting.

Let the flow continue...

Vibrant.... Surprise!

This fall has been pretty darn fantastic.
The trees have been bursting, like they are on fire in all hues of warmth!
I am so in love with this season!

...And speaking of being in love...
This little cutie is the surprise I mentioned the other day.

Meet Margaret Sue, (I know, we are crazy!) we have been in love with her for a while and she finally went up for adoption last week! We knew we wanted a third dog, but we were thinking it would be more when we moved.
Anyway, Margi was born without a paw on her back leg and the vet decided it would be better to amputate it to prevent any future pain or infections. So she only has 3 legs and she is perfect!

Margaret is a perfect fit here!

Hope you all enjoy your weekend!!!
