thank goodness for the flowers and the sea

There has been a lot going on around here lately.
Emotionally, in my head, in my life, and so on...

Some things are trying to shift,
but I am not sure yet when, where or if they are going.

I am trying to remember that everything will work out in the end although it doesn't quite feel that way at the moment.

Either way, I am happy to see the elder flowers in bloom.
Elder is one of my favorite herbs and I always am happy to go berry gathering when they are ripe.
I always love making syrup and adding them to pies...
Oh elder, how I love you!
I love looking at their lacy flowery umbels.

Do you have a favorite herb?
I also love the rosa rugosa (beach rose) that is abundant around here.
I have some sitting out just now, transitioning from a solar infusion to a lunar infusion.
I will be so happy to drink it all up tomorrow!

happy bird-day!

Today my little Posey turns 3!

I can't believe she is 3 already!!!
I think today I might venture out to get her some new toys.
Happy Birthday, bird-girl!

not so sunny beach day...

Veda and I took a long overdue walk down to my favorite beach.
I scouted for things I wanted to photograph while she ran setter circles like a maniac around the beach.
This beach has a beautiful pasture that you walk through before getting to the water, it is very peaceful and pleasant and a big part of why this is my favorite beach...

Oh, and there are some new baubles in the shop, if you care to check them out!

Local Stones, New in the Shop

There are some new crocheted crystals in the shop!
Stones that have been mined locally here in New England,
full of light and ethos...

Wild like a Gypsy Heart

It is a beautiful day out today,
the sun is shining, the foxglove are blooming, the garden is glowing
and my hair is unruly and wild in the breeze
(although truth be told, my hair is usually always a bit unruly and wild like a gypsy heart)...

Now I have my paintbox out for some color therapy
and a bit of thread and leather scraps for my new ideas that I have been waiting to work on!

Happy Sunday All!!!

At the Fair...

I spent Friday getting ready for Saturday's art fair, making some new nuno felted scarves (I think I have to keep this one!) and gathering things, displays and stuff, up from around the house and packing the car.

Someone doesn't want me to forget her!
Sorry Miss Lou, I think it is going to be too hot for you, you must stay here and govern the household while I am out...

We are all set up in front of the health food store (kind of ironic since I worked at one for years!). I am sharing the space with my friend Lara! I think it looks pretty darn good (I hate doing displays, ugh!)

My half of the booth:

All in all it was a pretty good fair and the weather was perfect!!!
It started off a bit iffy, but then the sun came out and we had a lot of wonderful supporters wander their way through! I was so tired at the end of the day, actually I am still tired today, but it was worth it!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend,
what did you do?
