Little Adventures

It was so beautiful out yesterday.
Veda and I went on a little adventure to the brook.
It is a great new little path that we just found!
I love flowing water,
especially when there are bubbles from it flowing over rocks and branches.

Don't you love robins?
Not only are they a sign that spring is definitely here,
but they are pretty fearless.
I was stalking this little guy around the yard and he was pretty tolerant!
I was within only a few feet of him
and even then,
when I was too close for comfort,
he just hopped away a little bit...
But only for me to follow (he he he).
I thought I might do some bird paintings later.

Well, I am making lists of things to do inside
since the next few days seem to call for rainy weather...
I heard we might even have a nor'easter,
although I doubt we will here on the North Shore,
it will probably just be raw and gross and rainy.

Hope you enjoy your day!

outdoor melodious spring fever

I am loving all of the soft shoots burgeoning forth
and the tender buds displayed on branches.
I love waking to the song of the robin
and the fluttering of eager wings.

New life in the springtime.
oh, what a melodious season!

Summertime Palette Planters

I found this link today
on making a planter out of an old palette.
I thought it was really cool
and thought I would share the link to the website!

Post image for How to Turn a Pallet into a Garden
Definitely check it out,
it is a great idea if you have limited space
or live in an apartment and have a little wall space outside!
Enjoy!

I've posted some new crocheted beach stones in my etsy shop.
Take a peek!

Hoping it will be nice again today,
a change from this cold would be nice!
Hope you have a wonderful day!

This weekends fair...

Saturday I has my first fair of the season
and I have to be honest,
it was terrible!
I thought it would be packed for sure because it was really cold out,
but it seemed like no one even came to it!
The attendance was horrible,
which means the sales were just not going to happen.
It was my first fair like this
and although I was trying to be optimistic,
it was hard not to be disappointed.
This is my job,
so it is a bit disheartening when something like this happens...
I just hope this isn't the vibe for the year!

Anyway, on the positive side,
I was really happy with how my table set up looked.
I really hate doing displays.
(which is weird, even I would think I would like it)
And I was worried because my stock has expanded range past the general 6 or 8 foot table.
So I had been trying to think of ways to expand up
and my solution was the 3 shelf wire rack!
I wasn't quite sure how I was going to like it,
but I do!

I was really excited to be in the library again this year
and set up next to my friend Lara.
This room was a lot quieter and had these beautiful windows that looked out on the marsh behind the school!
Plus is was great natural light!

I was really excited about the manikin that was given to me,
even though the neck part was broken,
you can't even tell and it looks great on my table with my scarf and obi belt wrapped around it!

I love the way the colors all look together with these cowl scarves!
It was interesting to see how many people couldn't figure out what they were when they were laid out like this.
I guess they do look a little confusing...
Oh well.

Also, I will be posting some more new crocheted cuff bracelets and crocheted beach stones
today in the shop,
so keep an eye out!
And don't forget about the spring giveaway!

I hope you all had a great weekend.
Did you do anything new or exciting?

xoxo
